A Retreat for Women of All Ages

Those who attend the April 2, 2016, Young Women’s/Young-at-Heart retreat at Camp Luther will be in for a special treat as past national LWML President Jan Wendorf is the featured speaker and Bible study leader. Her goal is to bring useful methods and practical tools for being in God’s Word.

“The Busy Lady’s Recharge” is the theme for the retreat and registration information is found in the winter edition of the Mission Tidings and at www.nwdlwml.org. There is a registration form and information about meals, Friday night housing and child care. Lisa Glessing and Laura Palzakill, the YWR coordinators, have planned an event focusing on refreshing us emotionally, spiritually and physically.

Jan Wendorf plans to share her own journey and how she developed a personal, daily quiet time in God’s Word. This is not to replace any organized Bible studies participated in, but an encouragement for us to develop our own personal devotional time. She will share what has worked for her and what has not, her ideas about Bible journaling. There will be time to practice different methods and work in small discussion groups.

Jan has also traveled to Tanzania with Lutheran World Relief and Lutheran Malaria Initiative and will be sharing those experiences with us as well.

This promises to be a wonderful event - We hope to see you there at Camp Luther in Three Lakes on April 2!
